Environmental Policy

EMESA is aware that the commitment of respect for the environment and the response to society’s concern with environmental issues are decisive elements for the sustainability and development of companies, and an ethical obligation to our society. That is why it has laid down and documented the following Environmental Policy to serve as a model in the performance of the activities carried out in the installations themselves, as well as in installations different from those of the organisation, as a reference point for its Environmental Management System.

By means of this policy, we commit ourselves to:

• Develop and implement appropriate Environmental Management Systems for our Organisation, in compliance with the principles laid down in Regulation UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004 on this policy. To adopt measures which permit us to constantly improve the effectiveness of the Systems which have been established.
• Establish and control the carrying out of objectives and environmental aims consistent with this policy and appropriate to the ability of our Organisation. Ensure that these objectives and aims contribute to gradually increase our good environmental behaviour and the efficiency of the environment management system.
• Apply practices for the prevention and reduction of pollution, trying to minimise the most important environmental impacts.
• Comply with applicable environmental legislation and other environmental requirements that the Organisation subscribes to, related to their environmental aspects. Keep the appropriate information available and up to date.
• Periodically review this policy, to keep it aligned with the strategic vision and objectives of Management and with the needs of the social and natural market environment in which we carry out our activities.

Management guarantees the implementation of the necessary measures to bring this environmental policy to the attention of all the members of the Organisation and outside collaborators and get their commitment to it. Also, it will ensure that the environmental policy is at the disposition of any interested party and the general public.
As head of the Environmental Management System, this Management approves the present Environmental Policy. It confers the necessary authority to achieve its development and application on the Head of Quality and Environment of EMESA, as its representative.
